It took courage, a dream, and the will to tackle the unknown to traverse western North Carolina’s winding paths to reach South Carolina in 1786. But the daring dreamers who came up from Charles Town and the determined drovers who crossed the mountains persevered, carving our hometown of Travelers Rest out of the wilderness.
Those difficult journeys were softened by the warm hospitality of those who were already here. More than two centuries later, that same welcome is at the heart of The Station. We’ve followed our dream and dared to create a new type of boutique hotel experience for guests who demand authentic, local experiences and yearn to be closer to nature.
